Lemon, lime cordial and white nectarine with grapefruit and biscuity oak. Flinty/mineral and struck-match notes, creamy yoghurt texture, darting acidity and a slightly phenolic, chalky finish.

Barrel-fermented (combination of new and seasoned French oak), indigenous/wild yeast fermentation, ~75% malolactic fermentation, aged several months in oak (≈27% new).

Mayfield Vineyard is a historic 1815 estate in Orange (vines planted from 1999). Small/quality-focused producer; some winemaking carried out at nearby Printhie; recent ownership under the Eastham family with emphasis on cool‑climate wines.
