Medium-full Pauillac: blackcurrant and damson plum with graphite/lead-pencil, violet florals, tobacco, cedar and saline minerality. Firm, chewy tannins, fresh acidity and a long, savory finish.

Manual harvest; fermentation in vats; malolactic in vats and barrels (approx. 2/3 vats, 1/3 barrels); aged ~12 months in once-used (one-year-old) oak barrels.

Écho de Lynch-Bages is the second wine of Château Lynch-Bages (Grand Cru Classé, Pauillac), produced by the Cazes family; 2020 was vinified in new gravity-fed cellars.
