Medium–deep ruby. Perfumed candied red fruits, violets, rope liquorice and wakame; flavours of plums, cranberry, aniseed, tangerine pith and Christmas spice. Granular/sandy tannins, refreshing acidity and a very long, lingering finish.

Single‑vineyard fruit from ungrafted 1952 bush vines; fermented with long extraction in larger vessels with gentle agitation; matured with judicious French oak influence; minimal fining/filtration.
