Awards/Ratings
Robert Parker's Wine Advocate 95+ (2016). Highly scored by several critics and retailers for concentration and purity
Tasting Note
Perfumed violets and red/black fruit with savory herbs, iodine and chalky/mineral tones. Linear, precise acidity with fine-grained tannins; austere at release but opens to layered complexity and a long mineral finish.
Food Pairing
Grilled lamb, asado, ribeye or bison burgers; aged cheeses; roasted root vegetables. Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu, Szechuan beef, spicy Korean stews (jjigae).
Production Method
Grapes from stony calcareous plots; a portion fermented whole-bunch with indigenous yeasts and fermented/aged entirely in concrete vessels (no epoxy) to emphasize site and texture. Minimal oak influence.
Vineyard Info
Familia Zuccardi (Valle de Uco) — family-owned, terroir-focused estate with R&D on soils and concrete vinification; Concreto selects the stoniest Paraje Altamira plots (c.13,000 bottles produced in 2016).
