Awards/Ratings
Notable press for the 2023 Brand: Anne Krebiehl MW 97, Stuart Pigott 99; reported James Suckling ~99; previous vintages received very high scores (Wine Advocate, Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast)
Tasting Note
Pale golden. Aromas of medicinal herbs, bergamot and ripe citrus over vivid granite minerality. Lively, precise and saline with vertical acidity, a very dry finish and fine tannic texture—powerful yet elegant, built for long ageing.
Food Pairing
Western: turbot in salt crust, scallops with fennel, pork fillet with caraway, Comté or Munster cheeses. Asian: miso-glazed black cod, Thai steamed fish with lime and herbs, richer sushi (tuna belly), Korean grilled mackerel.
Production Method
Biodynamic viticulture; hand-harvested Riesling. Extended pressing, natural fermentation, partial malolactic, long lees ageing (c.18 months) in old French barrels. Bottled Jan 2025.
