Tasting Note
Restrained, mineral-driven Gewurztraminer: pale-yellow, smoky and spicy notes (pepper, tobacco, oregano), subtle floral and fresh-fruit lift, tense, velvety finish with fine bitters and good length. Dry on the palate despite a touch of residual sugar.
Food Pairing
Roasted/white meats, poultry, grilled fish, scallops with saffron, foie gras, Munster or savory cheeses; Thai coconut curry, Indian tandoori, mildly spicy Szechuan dishes, smoked salmon, tuna tataki, dim sum.
Production Method
Certified organic/biodynamic viticulture; hand-harvested grapes from oolitic limestone and siliceous marl sites; vinified to preserve freshness with careful lees contact; bottled August 2024.
