Tasting Note
Bold, peaty single malt with orchard fruit and citrus peel, cedar smoke, oak spice, salty sea-brine notes and a warm, long malty finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, smoked salmon, aged cheddar, dark chocolate. Asian: yakitori, miso‑glazed black cod, fatty sashimi (toro), yakiniku.

Production Method
Peated malt distilled in coal‑fired pot stills, matured at Yoichi for at least 10 years in oak casks; bottled at 45% ABV.

Produced by Nikka Whisky (founded by Masataka Taketsuru). Yoichi Distillery opened 1934 in Hokkaido, known for coal‑fired distillation and robust malt character.
