Tasting Note

Mid-weighted Shiraz showing dark cherry and plum, savory salumi and truffle notes, mace/clove spice and bright dark-berry fruit. Silky, balanced tannins, lively acidity and a long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Grilled lamb chops, roast beef or kangaroo with red-wine jus; aged hard cheeses and charcuterie. Asian: Korean BBQ, Chinese char siu, spicy Sichuan beef, Thai red curry, miso-glazed duck or grilled teriyaki aubergine.


Production Method

Estate fruit from six blocks; destemmed and sorted with ~50% whole berries. Wild yeast open-top ferment up to ~20 days; no pressings. Aged on lees in 1–3 year French oak puncheons (7 months) then older 45hL foudre (7 months). Bottled Sept 2021.

Yangarra Estate Vineyard — single-estate on sandy ironstone soils in Blewitt Springs. Certified organic/biodynamic, led by winemaker Peter Fraser; focuses on southern Rhône varieties and low-intervention winemaking.
