Tasting Note
Brooding, plum and brambly fruit with dried herbs, forest-floor (sous bois) and savory undertones; firm yet melting tannins, bright acidity and a lingering, earthy finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast duck, pan-seared salmon, mushroom risotto, pork belly, coq au vin. Asian: miso-glazed black cod, Peking duck, char siu, teriyaki salmon, mushroom hot pot.
Production Method
Small-lot fermentations with partial whole-cluster inclusion; aged 11 months in French oak (40% new, 60% 1-year barrels).
Vineyard Info
Founded by Burt Williams and Ed Selyem in 1981; celebrated Sonoma Pinot specialist. Majority stake purchased by Burgundy’s Faiveley family in 2024.
