Tasting Note
Bright red and dark cherry, raspberry and blackberry with forest-floor earth, struck-match, iron and wood spice; fine tannins, lively acidity and a long mineral-tinged finish.

Production Method
Fully destemmed; whole berries gravity-fed to open wooden/stainless vats; wild-yeast fermentation ~30 days on skins; pressed to French oak (≈20% new); minimal sulphur, unfined and unfiltered.
Vineyard Info
William (Will) Downie established his label after working in Burgundy (early 2000s). Sources fruit from Matthews, Manilla and estate Guendulain/Baw Baw sites on red volcanic soils; vineyards are dry-grown and farmed with low-intervention/biodynamic practices.
