Tasting Note
Bright ruby colour with lush red/black fruit (blackberry, cassis), hints of marzipan and spice. Smooth, ripe and full-bodied with generous texture, balanced acidity and youthful vigour; medium-long finish.

Food Pairing
Classic pairings: blue cheese (Stilton), aged cheddar, dark chocolate desserts, chocolate truffles, nuts; savory pairings: duck confit or Peking duck, red-braised pork (hong shao rou), rich game or steak with a port reduction.

Production Method
Blend of young Douro wines fortified with grape spirit during fermentation; aged on average three years in seasoned oak vats/barrels, then blended, filtered and bottled.
