Tasting Note

Concentrated blackcurrant, blackberry and black cherry with cocoa, cedar and floral violet notes; minty-eucalyptus lift and peppery spice. Sweet, velvety texture with ripe fruit and a long, spicy finish.


Food Pairing

Western: Stilton or blue cheese, dark chocolate desserts, roasted lamb, beef stew. Asian: Cantonese roast duck, char siu (barbecue pork), braised pork belly, sesame or black-sesame desserts.


Production Method

Traditional Douro field-blend fermented and fortified with grape spirit; aged ~4 years in wood, bottled unfiltered and then bottle-aged in lodge before release.

Warre's, a historic British port house founded in 1670; sources fruit from Quintas including Cavadinha. Known for classic, bottle-matured LBV style and long cellar ageing.
