Tasting Note

Bright red cherry, raspberry and wild strawberry with violet, light spice, earthy and menthol hints; silky texture, fresh acidity, harmonious oak and fine, persistent tannins, long sapid finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast pigeon, duck confit, veal, mushroom risotto, aged goat or cow cheeses. Asian: miso-glazed fish, teriyaki chicken, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, shiitake mushroom dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested, organic/biodynamic approach, indigenous yeasts, gentle maceration (whole-bunch or destemmed), 11–18 months élevage in oak (majority new/1-yr), minimal SO2, unfiltered.

Domaine Vincent Pinard (Bué, Sancerre), family-run (~17 ha). Charlouise is from ~50-year-old vines on clay-limestone soils; biodynamic practices adopted since 2018.
