Awards/Ratings
Positive professional coverage for recent vintages: Burghound and Vinous tasting notes on village and premier cru bottlings; Jasper Morris MW and Decanter praise for Domaine Dampt premiers crus (see reviews)
Tasting Note
Lean, mineral-driven Chablis: lime and lemon peel, green apple and pear, white flowers, gunflint and oyster-shell minerality, saline finish and racy acidity. (Dry, precise, medium-bodied).
Food Pairing
Oysters, scallops, grilled or baked white fish, lemon-roasted chicken, goat cheese; Asian: sushi, sashimi, ceviche, steamed fish with ginger & scallions, light tempura, Vietnamese spring rolls.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Chardonnay from Kimmeridgian parcels; fermented on indigenous/cultured yeasts and vinified mainly in stainless steel with minimal new oak; aged briefly on fine lees. Sustainable practices, transitioning to HVE.
Vineyard Info
Vincent Dampt established his estate in the early 2000s in Milly (Chablis). Family-run (~8 ha), low yields from old vines on Kimmeridgian marl; focuses on terroir, precision and stainless-steel vinification.
