Tasting Note

Concentrated black fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant, black cherry) with licorice, anise, tobacco, dark chocolate and baking spice; silky, ripe tannins and a long creamy, slightly savory finish.

Western: grilled ribeye, lamb chops, BBQ ribs, empanadas, aged Manchego or hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu/hoisin pork, Szechuan beef, teriyaki‑glazed grilled meats.


Production Method

Hand‑harvested Malbec from Marchiori Estate; fermented in stainless tanks, aged ~18 months in French oak (Taransaud), bottled unfined and unfiltered.


Vineyard Info

Marchiori Estate (Perdriel, Luján de Cuyo) — old, cane‑pruned vines (many >50–80 years), furrow‑irrigated in deep, pebble‑stony soils. Viña Cobos founded by Paul Hobbs in 1999; Marchiori supplied fruit for the inaugural Cobos Malbec.
