Notable scores for the 2016 Bramare Valle de Uco: Wine Enthusiast 93, James Suckling 92
Tasting Note
Deep purple. Intense black- and blue-fruit (plum, blackberry), violet florals, cocoa, tobacco and subtle menthol. Firm yet silky tannins, fresh acidity, mineral backbone and a long, spice-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
Grilled/roasted beef, lamb chops, steak au poivre; aged cheeses. Asian pairings: Korean BBQ (bulgogi, galbi), char siu or hoisin-glazed pork, spicy Sichuan beef, teriyaki/soy-marinated grilled meats.
Production Method
100% Malbec from selected Uco Valley sites. Fermented in stainless steel, matured ~18 months in French oak (≈20% first-use). Bottled unfined (and often unfiltered).
