Tasting Note
Perfumed and concentrated: black cherry, plum, cassis, black truffle, violet and baking spice. Lush, layered palate with silky, finely-grained tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, braised short ribs, beef tenderloin, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, soy-braised beef with star anise, shiitake-based dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested, destemmed, fermented using traditional Bordeaux techniques, matured ~18 months in French oak (c.70% new).

14-hectare family estate owned by the Thienpont family since 1924; old-vine plantings across clay, clay-gravel and gravel plots, average vine age >50 years.
