Awards/Ratings
2022 Verget Pouilly‑Fuissé bottlings received strong press: RVF ~94/100, Decanter ~92, Robert Parker/Wine Advocate ~91; trade and retail scores vary (commonly 88–94 across cuvées)
Tasting Note
Fresh orchard and stone fruit (pear, yellow peach) with confit citrus, beeswax, toasted almond and light brioche. Creamy texture, bright saline minerality and gentle oak spice; lively acidity and a long, chalky, saline finish.
Food Pairing
Western: seared scallops, sole meunière, turbot with beurre blanc, roast chicken with cream & mushrooms, risotto ai frutti di mare. Asian: miso‑glazed black cod, steamed fish with ginger & scallion, milder Thai coconut curry, chicken korma, sushi (fatty tuna).
Production Method
Hand-harvested Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuissé parcels; fermented and aged in French oak barrels (approx. 15–25% new) with sur-lie élevage and bâtonnage for ~6–9 months, then blended and gently filtered before bottling.
