Tasting Note
Dense Pomerol: ripe black cherry, plum, espresso, loam and baking spice with a mineral/iron thread. Silky yet powerful, fine-grained tannins and long, earthy finish.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, braised short ribs, beef or venison; mushroom risotto, aged cheeses. Asian pairings: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, braised beef with soy/ginger, rich umami shiitake dishes.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; vinified in small concrete/stainless vats with gentle maceration; aged 16–18 months in French oak (≈50% new).

Owned by Établissements Jean‑Pierre Moueix since 1953. 7.2 ha of mostly old vines on gravel and deep black clay with crasse de fer. Small annual production (~25,000 bottles).
