Tasting Note

Dense cherry, plum and mulberry with dark chocolate, clove, licorice and five‑spice; savory tar and ironstone undertones. Silky, full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and a very long, persistent finish

Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, braised short ribs, aged cheddar. Asian: char siu (Cantonese BBQ pork), Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Sichuan beef, Peking duck, rich noodle dishes with spicy sauces.


Production Method

Co‑fermented old‑vine Shiraz with a small Viognier addition; fermented in small batches and matured ~30 months in French oak barriques (c.60% new).

Founded by David Powell (1994), Torbreck focuses on old, dry‑grown Barossa Shiraz; RunRig is the estate flagship, blended from select old‑vine parcels and made in small volumes for long aging.
