Tasting Note
Developed, elegant Rioja: red cherry, dried figs, tobacco, leather, cedar and spice with bright saline acidity, soft ripe tannins and a long, savory finish (ageworthy, tertiary notes of cocoa and tobacco).

Food Pairing
Western: roast or braised lamb, suckling pig, aged manchego, grilled steak, mushroom risotto. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), Cantonese roasted meats, rich braised beef with soy and five-spice.

Production Method
Traditional fermentation in century-old oak vats (no temperature control), malolactic in vat; aged ~6 years in oak barrels, fined with egg whites and bottled unfiltered.

Vineyard Info
Made by Bodegas R. López de Heredia (family-run since late 19th century). Fruit from the Viña Tondonia estate vineyards planted 1913–14 around the Ebro; low yields, traditional cellar practices.
