Tasting Note
Savory, leather-tinged red with dried cherry, orange peel, tea, mushroom and tobacco notes. Umami/balsamic complexity, refined firm tannins and bright acidity with a long, savory finish.

Production Method
Traditional Rioja methods: native-yeast fermentation in large oak tinas, long élevage in used American oak barrels (around six years for Reserva), then extended bottle ageing before release.

Produced by family-run R. López de Heredia (founded c.1877). Viña Tondonia vineyards planted 1913–14 in Haro; known for traditional, long-aging wines and on-site cooperage.
