Tasting Note

Concentrated dark berry and plum fruit with violet, tobacco, dark chocolate and forest floor notes. Medium-full, savory palate with ripe, grainy tannins and a long, warming finish.


Food Pairing

Roast lamb, beef tenderloin, aged hard cheeses, duck confit; Asian pairings: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, braised beef with soy and shiitake mushrooms.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; temperature-controlled fermentation with malolactic conversion; aged ~16 months in French oak (approx. 25–40% new).

Owned and vinified by Jonathan Maltus (Château Teyssier); estate expanded since 1990s producing several single‑vineyard cuvées alongside the Grand Cru bottling.
