Tasting Note

Black cassis, plum and black cherry with tobacco, cedar, menthol and crushed earth. Medium–full body, firm grainy tannins and a savory, iron-tinged finish with good energy and length.


Food Pairing

Western: roasted lamb, ribeye or braised short ribs, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu (BBQ pork), Korean BBQ (bulgogi), soy‑braised short ribs, Sichuan‑style beef with moderate spice.


Production Method

Hand-harvested with manual and optical sorting; fermented in wooden vats and matured in oak (≈15 months, ~50% new French oak). Grapes picked mid‑Sept to early Oct 2017.

Château Talbot is a 4ème Grand Cru Classé (1855) in Saint‑Julien, owned and operated by the Bignon‑Cordier family; c.102–110 ha of vineyards planted on fine Médoc gravel. Long-established estate with century‑long Cordier ownership.
