Tasting Note
Dried fruits (fig, raisin), toffee, dark chocolate, orange peel, vanilla, light peat smoke and toasted oak; velvety, long, slightly bitter chocolate-toffee finish.
Food Pairing
Western: grilled/roast beef, lamb, dark chocolate, blue cheese, aged cheddar. Asian: yakitori, teriyaki-glazed dishes, miso-glazed fish, smoked salmon, Korean BBQ (bulgogi).
Production Method
Blended malt marrying malt whiskies from Yoichi and Miyagikyo; matured mainly in sherry butts and American oak, married and bottled at 43% ABV.

Produced by Nikka (founded by Masataka Taketsuru in 1934); Taketsuru range blends Yoichi and Miyagikyo malts and is a signature Nikka expression. Nikka is now part of Asahi Group.
