Tasting Note

Crystalline ruby with ripe strawberries, red cherries, mushroom, rose petal and ground spice; silky tannins, fresh acidity and a medium-long, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast duck, mushroom risotto, grilled salmon, pork loin. Asian: miso-glazed black cod, teriyaki salmon, pork gyoza/dumplings, mushroom soba.


Production Method

Open-top fermentation; ~33% whole-cluster; ~25% new French oak; aged 16 months. Barrel selection from multiple Willamette sites.

Small-production Willamette Valley project from the Betz family (SUNU), sourcing fruit from Lonesome Rock, Matteri, Saffron Fields, Shea and Lazy River; crafted to express marine-sedimentary sites. Winemaker Louis Skinner involved.
