Tasting Note

Pale-yellow, intensely aromatic: citrus, pink grapefruit, white peach and nectarine with white flowers, sea-spray minerality and a saline, stony finish. Creamy texture yet bright acidity and long, savory persistence.

Western: scallops, lobster, grilled white fish, roast chicken with herbs, creamy pasta, aged hard cheese. Asian: sashimi/sushi, steamed fish with ginger and scallions, prawn tempura, light Thai or Vietnamese seafood dishes.


Production Method

Hand-harvested grapes; whole-bunch pressing; static cold settling; fermentation in French oak barrels (≈50% new); 12 months on fine lees; estate cooperage used for barrels.

Château Smith Haut Lafitte (Grand Cru Classé de Graves), family-owned by the Cathiards since 1990. Estate c.78–80 ha, practices Bio‑Precision; certified organic in 2019 and using biodynamic techniques and an on-site cooperage.
