Tasting Note
Layers of crème de cassis, blackberry and plum with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, truffle, licorice and baking spice. Concentrated, velvety and opulent with firm, grainy tannins and a long, mineral-tinged finish.

Grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheeses; Asian pairings: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), char siu, Peking duck, Sichuan beef or spicy braised beef.
Production Method
Small‑lot fermentations with extended maceration; matured in French oak (majority new) for extended barrel aging before blending and bottling.

Sloan Estate, founded by Stuart Sloan in 1997, farms a small Rutherford hillside vineyard planted by David Abreu. Winemaker Martha McClellan oversees production with consulting input from Michel Rolland.
