Tasting Note
Concentrated black fruit (blackberry, black cherry, cassis) with mocha, espresso, leather, grilled herbs, tobacco, graphite and licorice. Full-bodied, savory underbrush and mineral notes, firm ripe tannins and a long, earthy finish.

Production Method
Hand-harvested estate fruit, small-lot fermentations with extended maceration and aging in French oak (significant new oak), blended and bottled after ~18–22 months maturation.

Sloan Estate (Rutherford) farms ~40 acres on volcanic/sandy loam soils; vines planted in 1997. Estate flagship wine; winemaking led by Martha McClellan. Owned by the Pan family since 2011.
