Tasting Note
Dense black-fruit core (blackberry, cassis, black raspberry) with violet and licorice notes, graphite and tobacco, smoky/vanilla oak and mineral lift. Velvety yet dusty tannins and a long, refined finish.

Production Method
Estate-grown fruit; partial barrel fermentation, extended cold soak and maceration; matured ≈24–26 months in new French oak barrels (Darnajou/Taransaud).

Sloan Estate: 13-acre Rutherford hillside vineyard (planted 1997 by David Abreu). Boutique, low-production estate; winemaker Martha McClellan with consulting input historically from Michel Rolland.
