Tasting Note
Intense ruby; black cherry, plum and blackberry with violet, dried herbs, cocoa and licorice. Firm, grippy tannins, lively acidity, medium‑full body and a persistent, spiced finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled steak, braised short ribs, roast lamb, osso buco. Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu pork, Sichuan-style beef, Peking duck.

Production Method
Temperature-controlled fermentation with ~20 days maceration; aged 12–14 months in small oak barriques (≈40% new). Organic viticulture and several months bottle aging prior to release.

Family-owned Tenuta Sette Ponti (Moretti Cuseri family) in the Valdarno; estate label launched in late 1990s. Focuses on organic/sustainable viticulture; Crognolo is a flagship Sangiovese-based wine.
