Awards/Ratings
James Halliday — 97 points (Australian Wine Companion) for the 1999 21 Year Old Para Tawny
Tasting Note
Medium-amber tawny with roasted nuts, butterscotch, praline, dried citrus and baked almond biscuit. Lusciously sweet yet lifted by freshness and a fine rancio edge.
Food Pairing
Western: aged cheddar, blue cheese, crème brûlée, sticky toffee pudding. Asian: mooncake, red-bean desserts, mango sticky rice, char siu with hoisin glaze.
Production Method
Single-vintage fortified wine; fermentation is cut with grape brandy then matured oxidatively in old oak hogsheads for 21 years before bottling.

Seppeltsfield, established 1851 in the Barossa, is famed for its Para range and unique long-aged tawny program; an estate with deep historic cellars and ongoing single-vintage releases.
