Tasting Note
Deep mahogany with amber edge. Rich dried fruit, fig, raisin, toasted walnut, coffee, dark chocolate and orange peel, with spice and long caramel finish.
Food Pairing
Western: blue cheese, dark chocolate, walnut tart, sticky date pudding, fruitcake. Asian: Chinese five-spice pork, char siu, mooncakes, sticky mango rice, rich duck with hoisin.
Production Method
Foot-pressed red grapes, fortified with grape spirit/brandy, matured in old oak puncheons in the Centennial Cellar with regular topping for ~100 years.
