Tasting Note
Blackcurrant, plum and dark cherry with cedar, tobacco, black pepper and violet notes; medium–full body, polished yet present tannins and a sappy, slightly tarry finish.

Food Pairing
Western: entrecôte/steak, roast lamb, duck breast with figs, mature hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ beef short ribs, braised beef rendang.

Production Method
Hand-harvested, parcel selection and temperature-controlled fermentation; 20–30 day maceration, aged ~14 months in French oak barrels (≈15% new).

Second wine of Château Gruaud-Larose (Saint-Julien). Estate founded 18th century, owned by the Merlaut/Taillan group; Sarget honors the family who built the château.
