Tasting Note
Perfumed blackcurrant and violet with graphite, cedar and tobacco. Medium–full bodied, fleshy dark-fruit core, refined tannins, bright acidity and a long, savory finish.
Food Pairing
Roast lamb, beef short ribs, venison, mushroom risotto; Western: duck confit, beef bourguignon. Asian: grilled Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, Peking duck, rich shiitake and oyster sauce stir-fries.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled stainless-steel vats; malolactic in tank; aged ~12 months in French oak (≈40% new).

Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande, founded 1850, Deuxième Cru Classé (1855). Owned by Louis Roederer (Rouzaud family) since 2007; estate ~102 ha, transitioning toward organic/biodynamic practices.
