Tasting Note

Blackcurrant, blackberry and baked plum with pencil lead, cedar, violet and warm spice. Medium–full bodied, fine-grained tannins, bright freshness and an earthy, savory finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast/grilled beef, rack of lamb, duck confit, cassoulet, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ short ribs, braised beef with soy, shiitake/miso mushroom dishes.


Production Method

Traditional vinification; matured ~12 months in French oak (≈40% new). As the château’s second wine, assembled from younger-vine lots and estate parcels.

Second wine of Château Pichon-Longueville Comtesse de Lalande (1855 Second Growth). Estate on Pauillac gravel soils; produced by the château team using estate fruit.
