Tasting Note

Perfumed Margaux: cassis, blackberry, violet, cedar and crushed stone; medium-to-full body with fine-grained ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long, spicy finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast lamb, grilled beef, duck confit, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, char siu, Korean BBQ beef, soy-braised short ribs, beef rendang.


Production Method

Hand-harvested; traditional Bordeaux vinification with fermentations by parcel; aged ~18 months in French oak barrels (≈60% new).


Vineyard Info

Château Rauzan-Ségla, a 1855 Deuxième Cru de Margaux, owned by the Wertheimer (Chanel) family since 1994; ~66–70 ha, converted to organic viticulture from the 2017 vendange; Nicolas Audebert leads the estate.
