Awards/Ratings
Christian Eedes (WineMag SA) — 94 pts (2022). Positive reviews from Decanter and trade retailers noting Renaissance as a benchmark Stellenbosch Chenin
Tasting Note
Citrus-driven Chenin with lemon, green apple and white-peach fruit, subtle lees and almond-skin texture. Chalky/saline minerality, tangy acidity and a gently pithy, savory finish with light oak spice.
Food Pairing
Western: oysters, grilled prawns, ceviche, roast chicken, pork belly, soft goat or Brie cheeses. Asian: sushi/sashimi, tempura, Vietnamese spring rolls, Thai seafood dishes, light Chinese seafood stir-fries.
Production Method
Hand-harvested old-vine fruit; some whole-bunch pressing and brief skin contact. Fermented with indigenous yeasts in seasoned old oak (8–10 weeks), malolactic inhibited and matured on primary lees ~9 months.
Vineyard Info
