Tasting Note

Bright red and black cherry, currant and plum with crushed herbs, sandalwood, clove and graphite; silky texture, fine-grained tannins, balanced acidity and a long mineral-tinged finish.

Production Method

Estate-grown fruit farmed biodynamically; small-lot fermentations, blended from estate blocks and matured in French oak barrels (estimate 18–22 months) before bottling.

Quintessa is a single-estate producer on a 280-acre Rutherford property, planted in the 1990s and farmed organically/biodynamically; founded by the Huneeus family with first commercial vintage in 1994.
