Tasting Note
Concentrated dark ruby with black cherry, plum, dark berries and violet. Balsamic oak and subtle mineral notes. Palate is powerful yet elegant with ripe, silky tannins, balanced acidity and a long, fresh, berry-driven finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled lamb, roast beef, steak, braised short ribs, aged cheeses (Manchego, Pecorino). Asian: Korean BBQ, char siu, Peking duck, Sichuan beef, teriyaki beef, mushroom or beef hot pot.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Touriga Nacional; fermented in 5,000–10,000kg temperature-controlled stainless steel vats with programmed remontage; malolactic fermentation; aged ~16 months in 225L French oak barrels (portion new), then fined and bottled.

Vineyard Info
Quinta do Vallado, family-owned since 1716 in the Douro. Historic Port producer that expanded into dry wines, with terraced vineyards, organic parcels and a modern winery completed in 2009.
