Tasting Note
Herbaceous and citrus-led (orange peel, grapefruit) with sweet stone-fruit, vanilla and fine spice from oak; creamy texture, bright freshness and a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled scallops, lobster, roast chicken, mushroom risotto, creamy pasta. Portuguese: bacalhau dishes. Asian: sushi/sashimi, steamed fish with ginger & scallion, Thai green curry, lightly spiced Chinese stir-fried prawns.

Production Method
Old-vine field blend (0.6 ha) hand-harvested; brief stainless cold maceration then fermented and aged ~9 months in French oak (new/used) with bâtonnage twice weekly.

Quinta Vale D. Maria (estate dating to 1868; owned/led by Cristiano van Zeller since 1996). Vinha de Martim is a north-facing, >80‑year-old vineyard (0.6 ha) planted as a multi‑varietal field blend.
