Tasting Note
Intense ripe black fruit (cassis, blackberry) with elegant floral lift, spice and subtle smoke. Rich, structured palate, velvety tannins, balanced acidity and a long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, game, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, Peking duck, spicy Sichuan beef, teriyaki dishes.

Production Method
Hand-harvested Touriga Nacional; fermented in stainless steel with controlled-temperature maceration; matured approximately 9 months in French oak (mix of new and used) before bottling.

Quinta do Portal, family estate in Pinhão Valley, pioneer of dry Douro wines. Modern winery (Álvaro Siza Vieira design). Founded by the Branco family; acquired by The Fladgate Partnership in 2024. Winemaker: Paulo Coutinho.
