Tasting Note
Intense ripe black fruits (blackberry, black cherry, cassis) with violet floral notes, spice, dark chocolate and subtle smoke. Medium–full body, firm ripe tannins, bright acidity and a long savory finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled ribeye/steak, beef stew, mushroom risotto, aged Manchego or Serra cheeses. Asian: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Cantonese char siu, Peking duck, Sichuan braised beef, Japanese teriyaki beef.
Production Method
Hand-harvested Touriga Nacional; destemmed and fermented at controlled temperatures with extended maceration. Matured c.8–12 months in French oak (mostly used). Produced under integrated viticulture with minimal intervention.

Quinta do Portal is a family-owned Douro estate (modern project since the 1990s) known for its Álvaro Siza–designed winery, site-driven viticulture and winemaker Paulo Coutinho; focuses on indigenous varieties and high-quality still wines.
