Tasting Note
Bright garnet; wild berries, black cherry, plum, five-spice and wild thyme; silky mouthfeel with chalky, fine tannins and a persistent, fresh alpine-driven finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast New Zealand lamb, duck, pork, mushroom risotto, porcini dishes. Asian: hoisin roast duck, teriyaki salmon, shiitake soba, miso-glazed aubergine, char siu pork.
Production Method
Hand-harvested parcels, wild-yeast fermentation in open-top concrete and oak, matured 12–18 months in French oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered.

Pyramid Valley’s Mānatu vineyard in Lowburn, Central Otago. Estate run under owners Steve Smith and Brian Sheth with winemaker Huw Kinch; site completed organic conversion (BioGro) in 2022.
