Tasting Note
Ripe dark cherry and plum with blackcurrant, baking spice, cedar and tobacco; medium–full body, energetic acidity, firm chewy tannins and a long, fruit-driven finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, beef short ribs, duck confit, aged hard cheeses. Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, braised beef with soy and shiitake, hot pot with mushroom and beef.
Production Method
Hand-harvested; destemmed, fermented in thermo-regulated tanks; malolactic fermentation; aged ~12 months with ~20% élevage in oak barrels

24-hectare Saint-Émilion Grand Cru on clay-limestone soils; long owned by the Jacquet family until sale to the Malet Roquefort/La Gaffelière interests in 2020; managed with expertise from Ets. Jean-Pierre Moueix/Pierre Meunier.
