Tasting Note
Dense, dark-fruited: cassis, blackberry and violet with graphite, crushed stone, cedar and spice. Fine-grained yet firm tannins, vibrant acidity and a long, mineral-driven finish.

Dry-aged ribeye, beef Wellington, lamb or venison, wild mushroom risotto; Korean BBQ (galbi), char siu, Peking duck, savory Sichuan beef; aged Manchego or Comté.

Production Method
Estate-grown fruit fermented in small lots; long maturation in large Austrian (Stockinger) oak casks and barrels; typically unfined and unfiltered prior to bottling.

Promontory is owned by the Harlan family (acquired 2008). Single flagship from high-elevation Oakville ridge; winemaking led by David Cilli. Small production, prestige Napa estate.
