Tasting Note
Concentrated black and blue fruit, graphite and wet stone with espresso, violet and spice notes. Mineral-driven, finely grained mountain tannins, vivid freshness and a long saline, mocha-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Western: grilled ribeye, roast lamb, braised short ribs, aged cheddar and mushroom dishes. Asian: Korean BBQ (galbi/bulgogi), Sichuan pepper beef, Cantonese roasted duck or char siu, rich Japanese wagyu.

Production Method
Hand-harvested with many selective passes; small-lot fermentation in stainless, concrete and oak; initial barrel élevage followed by extended aging in large Stockinger Austrian oak foudres before bottling.

Promontory is the Harlan family project on an ~840-acre Mayacamas property (acquired 2008) with roughly 80 acres planted at high elevation; produces a single flagship Napa red.
