Awards/Ratings
2022 vintage widely scored 92 points (Wine Spectator, James Suckling, Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, Decanter). Previous vintages have received 90–96 points from major critics
Tasting Note
Medium-full-bodied red with black cherry, plum, violet and graphite aromas; notes of dried herbs, white pepper and dark chocolate. Velvety texture, fine-grained tannins and a focused, mineral-driven finish.
Food Pairing
Western: roast lamb, grilled steak, braised beef, mushroom risotto, aged hard cheeses (Manchego, aged Cheddar). Asian: Peking duck, Korean bulgogi, char siu or teriyaki beef, beef bulgogi, hearty Sichuan dishes and grilled lamb skewers.
Production Method
Hand-harvested grapes; controlled-temperature fermentation with gentle maceration; light aging in large (≈400L) French oak barrels (mostly used) to preserve fresh fruit and add subtle oak complexity.
