Tasting Note
Concentrated black fruits (blackberry, plum) with violets, cocoa, sandalwood and mineral notes; plush, polished tannins, bright acidity and a long, spicy cocoa-tinged finish.

Food Pairing
Roasted lamb, grilled ribeye, beef stew, mushroom risotto, aged cheeses; Asian pairings: Korean BBQ (bulgogi/galbi), Peking duck, char siu, spicy Sichuan beef, teriyaki beef.

Production Method
Hand-harvested; gentle crushing and fermentation in small reverse-conical stainless steel vats; long maceration (up to ~20 days); malolactic in vats/barrels; 12–15 months in 400L French oak.

Prats & Symington joint venture since 1999. Wines made at Quinta de Roriz (and Quinta da Perdiz), combining Bordeaux blending expertise (Bruno Prats) with the Symington family's Douro tradition.
