Tasting Note

Medium-full bodied Médoc with blackcurrant, blackberry, cedar, tobacco, graphite and black pepper; firm grainy tannins, savory herbal lift and a long, spicy mineral finish.


Food Pairing

Western: roast beef, lamb, duck, venison, mature hard cheeses (Comté, Parmesan). Asian: Peking duck, Korean BBQ (bulgogi), char siu, Sichuan-style beef or beef rendang.


Production Method

Hand-harvested, destemmed and fermented in temperature-controlled vats; aged ~12 months in French oak (≈30% new). Produced with sustainable viticulture practices.

Château Poujeaux (Grand-Poujeaux) is a Cru Bourgeois Exceptionnel estate in Moulis-en-Médoc. Historically Theil family; owned by Philippe Cuvelier since 2008. Vineyard on Günzian gravel, ~52 ha.
